Love it and have since they opened. Great, quiet, interesting and yummy food, continental clientele. If you're looking for a NY spot that feels luxurious this spot is it. Lots of businessmen, foreign and domestic lol Spotted an actress discussing her role in a movie ; ) Good food, lots of fun choices. Food wise everything's been tasty so I won't single one out. Service is excellent, attentive but unobtrusive. Keep returning and loving it each time more and more
There's a strict 15 minute reservation window, but you are able to make reservations mid week. Typically they only allow a 90 minute seating, but we stayed until they closed at 10. The inside was buzzing at 7:30 on a Tuesday, but the rooftop walk was stunning. The reflection pool has two recognizable sculptures by Jaume Plensa. Drinks are around $20 each, half the price goes into the view. At sunset into the night, the views here are unbeatable. The outdoor chairs however are not suitable for high heels or short dresses. Be warned that you may have to do some uncomfortable shifting to sit properly. It was also windy and our menus kept flying if we didn't place something to hold them down. Despite this, the sunset was serene. We ordered rounds of the vegetarian dishes. My favorite was the balsamic eggplant with mint. I'd also recommend the tempura vegetables which had an exciting array of mysterious bites, like mini corn cobs and lemon slices. The surprises were fun and interesting.
WOW this rooftop is gorgeous! Be sure to reserve a table out on the terrace :) The servers and hostesses were super nice, and the views are amazing! We went during golden hour and stayed past sunset
Beautiful interior and exterior decor! A fun place to hang out and get drinks. You have a gorgeous view of the water and skyline here, as well as the reflection pool. Drinks are very yummy; the electric martini in particular is very strong! Service is quick and friendly. This is a great place to bring visitors to the city!
We came for girls brunch at electric lemon on the weekend, we had a reservation to sit outside for four people. Food is as photographed below. Pastry basket was great - all of the pastries were warm. We got coffees - also were good. Food was quite good and well priced. The vibes in the morning were what we were looking for - more quiet and enjoyable, I will note that as we went to leave, they started bumping up the music with a dj (maybe at like 1 pm) so it definitely becomes a party rooftop. Definitely sit outside. 1 star off because honestly, the rooftop was great but there weren't "views" per se, you were just high up and surrounded by the tall Hudson yards buildings.
The view from every angle was amazing. The decor is sleek but not cold, all the seating was inviting and comfortable. The smashed fingerling potatoes were my favorite! The servers were very kind and let us move inside when the wind got too much to deal with
I really like this restaurant, ambiance and all. Having brunch here on a Saturday morning was truly amazing. For one thing, the service was absolutely phenomenal, and my interaction with everyone was superb from beginning to end, hostesses to waiters, servers and all. For food and drink, I had flaxseed pancakes and turkey bacon, and a cortado. My friend had the spelt bread toast with scrambled eggs and pork bacon (breakfast sandwich). She enjoyed her food, so on a scale of 1-10, I give the food an 8.5 for taste/value. We sat on the rooftop which has a nice view of the west side and since it was the perfect day outside, it wasn't too hot and sunny nor too cool. Honestly, it seems like the place is kind of underrated with the beautiful views, great food, and high-end service. I highly recommend it and claim this as one of my favorite spots.
I will start off by saying how excited I was to eat that this restaurant as I've kinda been an Equinox junkie for years. I like the style and cleanliness of the gyms. We originally were supposed to have drinks and dinner on the rooftop deck, but my cousin didn't get out of work on time. Most restaurants are nearly impossible to get a reservation at last minute in the city, but we were able to get a reservation within three hours. We sat down and we ordered a Scarlet Sky and a glass of prosecco ( my cousin literally only drinks Prosecco). The Scarlet Sky was an interesting drink which I actually liked. My cousin wasnt too fond of the pour of her glass of Prosecco because it was $25 and the poor was quite small. We ordered the tuna tabouleh, little gem lettuce, and cauliflower flatbread. One thing we noticed with a lot of the dishes was lack of taste which is understandable as the restaurant is located in a luxury gym hotel. The tuna tabouleh was different, but all the different flavors paired really well. I do douse everything I eat in lemon, so that helped. The little gem lettuce salad was fresh and refreshing, but lacked a lot of flavor. It seemed that if it had a little more dressing and salt/pepper combo it would have done the job. The cauliflower flatbread was okay. It was the dish that lacked the most flavor, but yet again, it was a cauliflower flatbread. The polenta fries were tasty and the texture was awesome. We couldn't figure out what the sauce was, but it tasted like a mayo barbecue which wasn't the worst, but we thought a nice marinara sauce would have fit better. Last we had was the pasture raised chicken which was cooked to perfection. It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, but it lacked taste and was almost tasteless. I'd expect the juice to add to the dish, but it also was tasteless. Overall the food was good and I could tell the quality was there, but even if they put some salt and pepper on the dishes, they would taste so much better. The dinner was $260 and for that price we expected a much better dinner. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful. It was located on the 26th floor with views of Hudson Yards. The decor and design was very inviting and honestly beautiful. The bar area was set up well and they had a fireplace that created a vibe. The server we had that night wasn't the most fulfilling. He visited our table a total of 3 times and when we would ask for items he would never return. If they fix their recipes I believe this restaurant would do so well. It might be bias as I'm not the most health conscious person.
This is a sexy spot with amazing food, whether or not you are feeling sexy, foodie, or ravenous... the menu items in each case were better than described... the mignonette with the chilled oysters is one the best with toasted black pepper... you won't miss the horse radish or cocktail sauce. The, New-Fashioned Deviled Crab is a rich but delicate salad that I imagine would replace the cole slaw in st Tropez... Question, who orders "seconds" on a salad? You will if you get the little gem lettuce salad. It's actually a generous and flavorful salad. It was perfection and I miss it. The service was equally amazing, and while polenta is not "a different kind of potato", we were still well advised with the polenta fries. They were light, just crisped enough, and gorgeously presented and accompanied with a romesco sauce. Both tbe polenta fries and romesco sauce was a first for me, but not the last. I've already looked up how to make the romesco. Lastly, the sirloin steak is not of Campbell's or Dinty Moore heritage, but a rival to any NY strip. This might be my new go to cut and it was cooked to the exact temp requested! Perfect place for the perfect night.
